My family had never tried this brand of German bread. We all like the Rye bread the best but we like all the other kinds just as well. My personal favorite is the brotchen. I have this with Nutella for a great breakfast treat in the mornings. Reminds me of when we lived in Germany in the 60s. Great time!

I bought the box to share at a family gathering. The pretzels, Swiss farmers loaf and premium seeded bread were delicious. Low carb power rolls were good, but a little dry. I haven’t had a chance to try the rest but looking forward to it.

Box arrived in good shape and froze all except one pretzel. We shared one pretzel with pub cheese and strong mustard. It was very tasty after warming up. We have been trying other seedy items about twice a week. Each very filling, crunchy on outside and soft on the inside with butter. Next time may order separately but large box is a good choice.

We are working our way through this amazing box of delicious breads. They arrived in great condition and, as instructed, put all the products in the freezer. We are thawing (quick 30-90 mins) and baking them (average 15 mins) and enjoying the hearty flavors I remember from my years in Germany. I looked forward to receiving all the different varieties and have not been the least disappointed. We are an empty-nest couple and I worried the quantity would be too much for us. No problem, they come out of the freezer very fresh and bake up even better. Can't wait to order again.

My first Brotbox order was the max box with a variety of German Brots and Brötchen ~ it came nicely packaged. Each bread in a nice plastic bag with all necessary instructions to heat in oven. I did think that the largest box deserves more ice packs (items were not as frozen as I had expected). But nothing seemed soggy or damp.
The first Brot we opened and really enjoyed was the Swiss Bauern Brot. Great flavor and texture. And then today we baked some Bakers Wheat Rolls that were crispy on the outside and soft inside ~ both items were delicious and easily reminded me of my trips to Deutschland and my favorite bakery breads and breakfast Brötchen! Wir haben gejubelt, als die große Brotbox ankam. Frisch aus dem Ofen schmeckt alles super lecker! Kurze Zeit später hatten Brot u Brötchen allerdings keinen Knack mehr, weil es Aufbackware u keine tiefgefroren Teiglinge sind. Gerade bei den Brezen hätten wir uns Teiglinge (wie in Deutschland erhältlich) gewünscht, so dass sie frisch u knackig aus dem Ofen kommen. Am besten schmeckten uns die Kürbiskernbrötchen!! Wäre das Porto nicht so hoch würden wir sicher öfter bestellen. Alles in allem ein Erlebnis. Danke!

Baking instructions wrong. The bread would have burned black if followed. Round rye bread's crust too hard and dry, while the middle was underbaked and mushy. Crust separated from the crumbly inside upon cutting. Nothing like rye breads I got in Germany.

Items are pre-baked and can be individually removed from bags; finishing up is easy; like freshly baked.

Im from Germany and currently traveling between the US and Germany a lot until I can stay in the US long term. One of the things I miss the most from germany in the US is good bread. It's really hard to find, I went to maybe two physical bakeries that had authentic bread but they are in different states. So I found the Brot box and thought I would give it a shot. So far I tried the rye bread, the pretzels and what we would call the Fußballsemmeln (pretzel buns). And they were all fantastic ❤️ I'm sure the rest of the products are also great, haven't tried them all yet. I'm just glad I found a way to bring good bread right to my doorstep.

After returning from our trip to Germany, we missed the lovely freshly baked rolls that we had every morning at our Guesthouse. The price for BrotBox was actually not unreasonable given the price for similar items in my area. I would warn Americans that the loafs and rolls, just like those in Germany, are meant to be eaten the day they are baked. Only bake as much as you can eat immediately. I only wish I could have the all the German toppings to go with the bread like paperthin slices of Schwartzwalerschinken, quark, & pflaumenmus!
